Notes From the Homefront

In which I catch you up on everything in list form.

  1. We are all sick again. It sux. The only explanation I can come up with is that daycare germs are getting us good.
  2. Eva took FOUR (4) steps today! Or two if you are going by NBA rules. In any case, she traveled! Husband says now she just needs to learn to dribble.
  3. We are greatly reducing our sugar, alcohol and caffeine consumption in this house because our immune systems obviously need some boosting.
  4. This is my second whole day without caffeine of any kind. Not even chocolate. Is hard.
  5. I am definitely not giving up chocolate entirely. I just don't happen to have any in reach.
  6. It is very quiet... what is Eva doing?
  7. Chewing on my shoes. Great. Maybe THAT'S why she keeps getting sick.
  8. Toby, my awesome black poodle (not to be confused with Barlow, my awesome brown poodle) has his femoral head ostectomy surgery on Monday. We are feeling a little anxious about that.
  9. Barlow needs a dental. He has the worst breath in the history of dog breath.
  10. Note to self: ask Kaleigh about detergent.
  11. I may have enough new readership that I should consider creating a decent "About Me" page.
  12. Did I mention Husband and I are going to Hawaii in July? After his last conference, we got enough frequent flyer miles to get the tickets, so IT'S ON.
  13. The weather here is PERFECT. 60 degrees and brightly sunny.
  14. If the E is feeling up to it, we are going to hit up story time at the library today.
  15. For all the possible places we might be moving, I've looked up the public library to see their story time schedule.
  16. Did I mention that there is a pretty good chance we are moving within a year? To we have no idea where?
  17. Husband will finally be totally and completely done with school in May. So he's looking for jobs. He's got some good leads. But no job yet. But I have the utmost confidence in him.
  18. Even if he doesn't get a job, I have guaranteed funding in my PhD program for 2 more years. So we won't starve or anything.
  19. But I think he'll get a job. Possibly in Iowa.
  20. My mom is crossing her fingers against Iowa right now.
  21. Because the other possibilities are much much closer to where she lives.
  22. I just realized that even though I set this up to be in number format, my blog template is going to put it in bullets instead. Should have self-numbered.
  23. I also just realized that this is a very Kristabella-style post. So we will call it a tribute to her one year blogiversary.
  24. Happy Blogiversary, Kristabella!
  25. That is all. Have a great weekend.

Thanks!

And by "style" you mean incessant rambling. Right?

I'm always a fan of lists, whether they're bulleted, numbered, whatever.
